Uit onderzoek van de vereniging blijkt dat alle hypotheekaanbieders, behalve Argenta, de rente- of topopslag op de vastgestelde hypotheekrente willen schrappen als de waarde van de woning voldoende is gestegen. Bij de ene geldverstrekker is dat aan het einde van de rentevaste periode, bij de andere geldverstrekker kan de consument daar ook tussentijds om vragen. Driekwart van de hypotheekaanbieders accepteert de WOZ-waarde als bewijs waardoor een taxatie niet nodig is.
